  • PERFORMANCE

two letters of P, indicating pure performance pack by Elan Yachts

Lightness, sports equipment and a myriad of trimming options, these yachts are designed not only to be enjoyed by a cruising family, but also to be sailed fast by an ambitious crew. Join a regatta or two and be among the first around the buoy.

  • PLANING POTENTIAL

    PLANING POTENTIAL

This yacht can be configured to a low displacement configuration, which allows the yacht to achieve it's full planing potential, designed into the hull and sailplan by Humphreys Yacht Design. Fly the kite, rise form the water and plane!

  • COMPOSITE BULKHEADS

    Composite Bulkheads

Composite version ensure an unbroken surface along the bulkhead and an equal distribution of mechanical loads along the cross section. The vacuum-cured epoxy resin impregnated biaxial fabric take the stiffness and durability to the next level and ensure the highest compact structure.

  • TWIN RUDDERS

Schematic icon showing twin rudders for elan yachts

Twin rudders provide exceptional control and reduce the tendency to broach. The yacht does not stall easily, as her pitching moment is reduced. The twin rudder system provides finger-tip directional control, especially when heeled.

  • TWIN HELM

Schematic view of twin helms Elan Yachts have

Elan yachts were one of the first production yachts that incorporated a twin helm system, borrowing the concept from the offshore racing world. Now a staple in yacht design, the Jefa steering twin wheel approach enables easy maneuvering from both sides of the yacht while not impeding movement in the cockpit. Twin helms also introduce a new level of redundancy on your blue water cruises, especially when paired with twin rudders.

  • VAIL HULL

Vacuum Assisted Infusion Lamination icon for Elan Yacht HULLS

As the only sure way to prevent osmosis, and ensure uniform stiffness, lightness and safety, Elan was one of the first serial yacht manufacturers to adopt the Vacuum Assisted Infusion Lamination back in 2003. VAIL enables a complete saturation of epoxy resin and removes human error from the process.

  • 3D VAIL

    Elan Yachts 3D VAIL Technology

In essence, the 3D VAIL technology integrates the inner yacht structure, stringers and stringer supports into the hull itself using vacuum assisted infusion. When fully applied, this complicated and expensive process creates a one-piece laminated structure out of all load-bearing elements of the yacht, increasing the stiffness and lightness and ensures best mechanical properties.

  • T-SHAPED KEEL

The T-shaped keel lowers the centre of gravity and enables enhanced sail-carrying power, increasing speed and stability of the yacht.

Elan E6

Technology and Performance

Compared to other yachts in Elan’s repertoire, the Humphreys Yacht Design team distilled even more performance in this project, while keeping the dual-purpose ethos that has been the hallmark of the E Line range for years.

Powered by Elan’s high-tech composite know-how and pushed to the next level by industry-leading specialist Gurit, Elan’s E6 is built with the highest consumer-level technology on the market.

Lighter than competitors in its class, the E6 is the fusion of performance engineering and enriching sailing experiences. This twin rudder and helm yacht utilizes 3D VAIL technology for ultimate lightness and stiffness, and a dedicated hull with a T-shape keel.

Elan E6

Design and Comfort

While the yacht has been designed to be easily sailed by an experienced couple, the E6 truly shines with a good crew. Three pairs of Harken winches, ideally positioned for precision trimming and fast unobstructed movements, are the result of 1:1 scale model in-house testing with an Olympic sailing team.

Optional storage boxes with a grill, sink and a refrigerator are available, as well as two sizes of bathing platforms. Along other lockers, mainsheet ropes are fed to dedicated boxes on the cockpit sides.

Carefully designed for the perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality by Pininfarina, the enticing and practical interior invites perfect living at sea. The creative form is brought alive by the natural oak veneered interior and enriched with solid wood finish.

Optional performance okoume furniture keeps the weight down, while not hindering the boat’s luxurious look and feel. The carefully selected colour-scheme complements the yacht’s beautiful lines, flowing from the rear cabins all the way up to the master cabin’s island bed, invoking the feeling of elegance in motion.

  • FIXED CARBON BOWSPRIT

Installed in standard, the longer carbon bowsprit enables one to sail deeper downing and makes sure the asymetric gennaker or code 0 is less blanketed by the mainsail and more of the sail area is used.

  • Teak in cockpit and on platform

All yachts come equipped with artificial teak in cockpit and on the bathing platform (if ordered). Can be upgraded to full teak deck and real teak.

  • BOW THRUSTER

The addition of a bow-thruster makes the life of any skipper easier, and the wallet of the invester less burdened in the long run. Enjoy the benefits of easy manouverability in any marina and avoid collisions.

  • LARGE BATHING PLATFORM

Large bathing platform for family cruising or charter yachts on elan yachts

Choose the large bathing platform and extend the outside living area substantially. Increase safety for children and pets by closing up the transom. Sunbathe, fish, shower and enjoy life at sea, just above the water surface!

  • COCKPIT BOXES

Incredibly popular and innovative feature, the cockpit boxes serve as additional storage as well as seating space. They can be upgraded to hold a cockpit grill and a refrigerator for ultimate enjoyment aboard!

  • DOUBLE BERTH IN SALOON
